Film Production

Utility Films makes films in a number of ways: we make products we think will be useful, and sell them (see the 'our products' pages on this website); and we make films for other people, on the basis of either a commission or a guaranteed sale.

A film can make all the difference to your business. Look on the 'news/current projects' page to see a few of the projects we've made for other people recently, as well as work we're currently undertaking.

If you would like to commission us to make you a film, first and foremost, think about what kind of film you want. Who are your audience? Is it a promotional film, telling prospective customers about your product? If so, what kind of format should it be in - a DVD you can give away or send to enquirers, or a larger-scale production you would invite people to see? There are examples of all these different productions on the 'news/current projects' page.

We are economical, because we're small. We charge by the project, not by the day; we will agree with you exactly what your brief is, give you a price, and then we'll deliver what you've asked for. If you change your mind, fine - but we'll review the price, because we have to buy in skills from other people.

So - if you're thinking about having a film made, contact us on info@utilityfilms.co.uk to discuss your needs.

‘HEAD-ON’

We recently completed a commission for the Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service as part of a hard-hitting campaign which aims to cut the number of young people killed or seriously injured on roads across the Isle of Wight.

This was an enormously demanding commission for us. Some 170 people were involved over the six months of filming; we used 23 locations and the services of many people on the Isle of Wight, all of whom gave their help, time and commitment enthusiastically. This was a 'typical Utility Films' production - something which makes a difference. Click here to find out more.
